Legend said that in the Ly dynasty, there was a young woman in a village who was not only beautiful but also skilled in organizing production. She helped the villagers store food to fight famine and the army to fight the enemy. In a march through the village, King Ly fell in love with the young woman and brought her to the capital to be his wife.
Lady Storehouse is a woman of great talent
In 1077, Dai Viet was invaded by the Song army. The village where the Lady resided was chosen by the commander as the place to store supplies. She directed the production and supply of food to the troops at the front lines.
When the war was almost won, she was killed by the enemy in a food supply mission. The King and people were grateful to her, so they built a temple at the old warehouse on Kho Mountain and named it Ba Chua Kho Temple.
Ba Chua Kho Temple is lying on Kho Mountain, Bac Ninh City, Bac Ninh Province, Vietnam. The temple is part of the Co Me complex (including Communal house - Pagoda - Temple). It’s about 50 kilometers from Hanoi City Center, so it doesn't take too long to go further in your Hanoi excursion.
