Day 1 : Arrival Hanoi

Meet and pick up on arrival at Hanoi International airport by Asia King Travel ‘s guide, transfer to hotel. Time for free or walking in the Old Quarter of Hanoi.  Overnight in hotel in Hanoi

Day 2 : Hanoi City Tour – Water puppet show – Night train to Lao Cai (B)

This morning we drive to the Ho Chi Minh Complex, containing the mausoleum of the nation's founder Ho Chi Minh. The complex also contains the One Pillar Pagoda, whose origins date back to the founding of the city in the 11th century. In the afternoon, we will visit the Temple of Literature, the site of Vietnam's oldest university, dating back to the 11th century. The temple is dedicated to one of the world's most famous scholars, Confucius. From here we visit the impressive Museum of Ethnology, the finest museum in Vietnam. This museum is dedicated to Vietnam's 54 ethnic minorities, several of which we will see on our forthcoming trek. Drop off at Thang Long theatre for water puppet show, the unique Vietnamese traditional art. Tonight take overnight train ( Tulico – soft sleeper ) to Lao Cai

Day 3 : Lao Cai – Sapa – Cat Cat Village – Sapa (B)

Arrival to Laocai station is scheduled at 6am you will be pick up and transferred to Hotel. Freshen up and enjoy breakfast at the hotel. At 10AM from  hotel   there  will be a walking tour to the hill tribe villages of Cat Cat, and Sansaho home to the H'mong  hill tribes minority peoples. As we walk to the villages nestled in the valley below Sapa, we will meet some of the local minority people on their way to and from Sapa. Here we have the opportunity to share cultural experiences with the families that live in the area. Overnight in hotel in Sapa.

Day 4 : Sapa – Lao Chai & Tavan (B,L)

After breakfast , we then  embark on a lovely  walk  that will take us along buffalo paths and trails and through several hill tribe villages of Lao Chai and Tavan, home to H'mong, and Dzay people. This is a absolutely spectacular walk through stunning scenery inhabited by some of the friendliest people you can meet. Stopping for a picnic lunch on the way at a family in Ta Van village. Return to Sapa in the afternoon. Overnight in hotel in Sapa.

Day 5 : Sapa – Bac Ha Market – Night train to Hanoi (B)

Breakfast at the hotel , transfer to Bac Ha. Simple breafast at local restaurant. Visit the colourful Bac Ha Market full of montagnards from surrounding villages. They dress their most colourful costumes and head to the market to exchange goods or sell self-made souvenirs. Lunch en route. p.m. Walking tour at Ban Pho Village then drive to Sapa. Enjoy the picturesque scenery along the way leading towards Sapa, a mountainous area of stunning natural beauty and diverse ethnic minorities. In the after noon return to Lao Cai. Overnight train back to Hanoi

Day 6 : Hanoi – Halong Junk Cruise  (B,L,D)

Morning the departure from the capital for Ha Long Bay approximately three hours away. En route we have a short stop at the Sao Dao center run for and by handicapped children for short break. Upon arrival at Ha Long Bay  we will be met by captain and cruise and transferred to our luxury junk, Bai Tho Junk Once we have settled in we can begin our cruise around majestic Ha Long Bay accompanied by a delicious lunch. After lunch we have the chance to explore some of the limestone caves dotted around the bay. Then our captain will find a secluded spot where we can swim in the clear water of the bay, soak up the sun on the top deck or try our hand at some kayaking. After we have finished exploring for the day we retire to the junk. We can relax on the top deck using the sun-tanning area or enjoy a refreshing drink from the bar. In the evening our cook will prepare a splendid meal comprised of fresh seafood dishes as well as traditional Vietnamese fare as we weigh anchor in the heart of the bay. For those that are interested there is the opportunity to do a spot of night fishing from the boat.

+ 19 h30 Dinner time  then overnight on the Junk

 

Day 7 : Halong Junk Cruise – Ninh Binh – Tam Coc (B,L)

Rising to the tranquil beauty of the bay we have time for an early morning dip followed by breakfast. This morning we continue to move around the bay to find more secluded areas . At around midday we will return to the main harbor before transferring to our awaiting vehicle for a 3-hour journey back to Hanoi.

+ 08h30 : Take a rowing sanpam to visit tunnel cave - green lagoon

+ 09h00 : Junk boat once again sets sail through breathtaking secluded Halong bay

+ 10h00 : Visit Bai tu long Bay , Teapot island , Chopstiks island , Bai tho mountain.

+ 11h30 : Return to Halong city and.

+ 12h30 : Back to Halong wharf and disembark and transfer to Ninh Binh via Thai Binh, Nam Dinh. Arrival in Ninh Binh and you will pay attention to take a boat rowed by one or two local persons in Hoang Long river and see the first limestone mountains, through three caves on the river, all created by wind and water from a legend time, while the sea had occupied this area. The river trip is wonderful for photo hunters, especially when local people come to harvest the water rice planted along the river, or when they transplant some seedling for the next crops. The tourists often compare the place with Guilin -China, or more closely, to the limestone islets of Halong Bay in the Tonkin Gulf for their similar geological structures and shapes. Thus Tam Coc is also called Halong-Bay-On-Land. Overnight in hotel in Ninh Binh

Day 8 : Ninh Binh – Hoa Lu – Mai Chau (B,D)

Morning after breakfast  transfer to Hoa Lu, visit to the last relics of the ancient capital Hoa Lu-the Temples dedicated to King Dinh and King Le, the two heroes who lived in 10th century and chose Hoa Lu to build the citadel of the capital city. From time to time, archaeologists have excavated buried parts of this citadel with rusty weapons and ceramics. The temples are said to be built on the old foundation of their original palaces in 11-12th centuries and restored in 17th century, after lunch, transfer you to Mai Chau through the beautiful scenery of Vietnam countryside. Arrival in Mai Chau, we spend the afternoon walking through the ethnic minority villages in this area. Tonight we will be hosted by a family from Poong Con village. In sampling these peoples hospitality, we find out a little more of their lives and cultures with a cultural exchange following the evening meal. Home stay in local family.

Day 9 : Mai Chau – Hoa Binh – Hanoi – Night train to Hue (B)

This morning we have the opportunity to stroll around Lac village before we depart 09:00. Our first stop for the day will be a Muong village. We get to the village around 1100 and spend 2 hours there before continuing onto Hoa Binh town for lunch , after that there we will visit a Muong village and either have a picnic lunch or eat in a local restaurant, depending on the weather. After having met the local villagers we will continue on for a look at the enormous dam. Return to Hanoi in the afternoon. Tonight we will take night train ( AC & soft sleeper ) to Hue.

Day 10 : Hue Imperial city (B)

Morning after breakfast , We then set out for the exploration of Hue's famous highlights, including the Citadel and the Forbidden Purple City. Built in the 19th century by the Nguyen dynasty, the City was home to the former Emperors of Vietnam from 1802 until 1945 we take boat cruise on the Perfum River to  the surrounding countryside  to visit Thiem Mu, or Heavenly Lady Pagoda. One of the most poignant displays here is a car belonging to a former monk, who in 1963, drove to Saigon and set himself alight to protest against the South Vietnamese regime and its treatment of Buddhists. Also worth visiting are the tombs of the former Emperors, in particular that of Emperor Tu Duc. Tonight enjoy the royal dinner and traditional music in the restaurant. Overnight in Hue

Day 11 : Hue – Hoian (B)

As we bid Hue farewell this morning we continue our south bound journey, this time in the comfort of an air-conditioned bus. Today's destination is the old trading town of Hoi An. Along the way though we will stop at Lang Co beach for coffee and refreshments. From here we head up to the Hai Van pass, stopping at the top to take in the stunning views north over Lang Co beach and south over Danang city. Continuing on our way down the other side and into Da nang, where we will stop at the Cham Museum, the famed China Beach, and the Marble Mountains. Arriving in Hoi An ,you are at leisure. Overnight in hotel in Hoian.

Day 12 : Hoian ancient town – Thu Bon river cruise (B)

Morning we will ancient merchants' houses, a Phuc Kien temple, the 400-year-old Japanese Covered Bridge, and the colourful riverside market. Visit a workshop where artisans make Hoi An's famous lanterns. Guests learn how the lanterns are made then have achance. In the afternoon, we will take the boat trip on the beautifull Thu Bon river to visit the ceramic & pottery village – Thanh Ha ,then back to the town. Overnight in Hoian.

Day 13 : Hoian – My Son – Hoian (B)

Morning breakfast at the hotel. 07:30 transfer to My Son Sanctuary - The world cultural heritage. My Son was an imperial city during the Cham dynasty, between the 4th and 12th centuries. My Son Sanctuary is a large complex of religious relics that comprise of more than 70 architectural works. They include temples and towers that connect to each other with intricate red brick designs. The main component of the Cham architectural design is the tower, built to reflect the divinity of the king. Afernoon, you are free & easy in Hoian. Overnight in Hoian

Day 14 : Hoian – Flight to Nha Trang (B)

Morning free until time to transfer to Danang airport to  for flight to Nha Trang .Pick up and transfer to hotel. Our time in Nha Trang is free for relaxing and soaking up the sun on the beautiful white sandy beaches and swimming in the crystal clear warm waters. Optional scuba diving or taking a mineral mud baths. Overnight in hotel in Nha Trang

Day 15 : Nha Trang (B,L)

After breakfast at hotel you will enjoy Nha Trang's turquoise waters and white sandy beaches. Take a morning boat cruise to offshore islands in Nha Trang Bay. Afternoon visit  the Ponagar Cham Towers, the Long Son Pagoda, the Cathedral of Nha Trang. Overnight in Nha Trang

Day 16 : Nha Trang – Dalat (B)

Leave Nha Trang for Da Lat, a cool mountain resort. It’s lakes, waterfall, evergreen forest and gardens make Da Lat one of the most enjoyable places in Vietnam. On the way to Da Lat, stop over for visiting Po Klong Garai - Cham Tower. Upon arrival at Da Lat, check in hotel then visits the “Valley of love”, Xuan Huong Lake, Flower Garden and Linh Son Pagoda. Overnight in Da Lat

Day 17 : Dalat – Saigon (B)

Depart Da Lat for Ho Chi Minh City – formerly known as Saigon, with stopover to visit Preen waterfall. Short break at Boa Loc tea and coffee plantation. Upon arrival Saigon, transfer to hotel and refreshment. Time free. Overnight in hotel in Saigon

Day 18 : Saigon – Tunnels Cuchi  - Saigon(B)

Morning we spend a half day seeing some major sights of the city. We pass the now-demolished wartime American Embassy before we visit the Reunification Palace which was the former residence of the President of South Vietnam until end of April 1975, and some French colonial structures including the Notre Dame Cathedral, the Old Sai Gon Post Office. After seeing the Jade Emperor Pagoda and the War Remnant Museum, we continue our trip on to the bustling Ben Thanh Market where anything and everything is for sale. Afterwards we continue to the famous Cu Chi Tunnels, which were an incredible underground network constructed by Vietnamese fighters during the long struggle for independence. The tunnels contained hospitals, plus accommodation and schools, and were used as a military base for the Vietcong in the American war. Overnight in hotel in Saigon

Day 19 : Saigon – Cai Be – Vinh Long – Can Tho (B,L)

This morning we set off for a drive through the Mekong Delta to the town of Cai Be, well-known for it's floating market. Here we will board our private boat for a cruise along the maze of waterways and canals to Vinh Long. We will stop at the home of a Bonsai gardener for a sumptuous Delta lunch, including the popular dish of 'Elephant ear fish', before continuing our exploration of the tributaries and canals of the delta. Towards the end of the day we arrive in Cantho where we stay in hotel in Can Tho

Day 20 : Can Tho – Cai Rang – Chau Doc (B,L)

An early start for a boat cruise to Cai Rang and Phong Dien floating markets. Bus continues to ChauDoc with a stop over at the stork garden near Thot Not. Late pm hike up to Sam mountain with its panoramic view over the vast plains into Cambodia. Overnight in ChauDoc.

Day 21 : Chau Doc – Phnom Penh (B,D)

This morning we will have a boat ride from Chau Doc to Phnom Penh departing at 8am. The boat takes us  along the Mekong River. It continues on to the Vietnamese (Vinh Xuong) - Cambodian (Kaom Samnar) border and then to Phnom Penh, capital of Cambodia. The journey takes approximately 4 hours. Arrival transfer our hotel in  Phnompenh, the capital of Kingdom of Cambodia. A visit to Phnom Penh is a very interesting experience indeed. It is a city with an interesting pulse and it gives you a very true taste of Asia. We  will visit the Wats Phnom, National museum, silver Pagoda and Royal Palace. Overnight  in Phnom Penh.

Day 22 : Phnom Penh – Siem Reap (B,D)

Transfer to the the harbour at 6 AM transfer to the speed boat to Siem Reap-Angkor. (about 5 hours boat) Landscape and scenic views of the Cambodian rural life along the riverbank  at arrival in Siem reap , transfer to your hotel. Siem Reap is the nearest town to the famous complex of Angkor.From the 9th to 15th century, Angkor was the heart of a sophisticated civilisation. We will see massive stone monuments. We will start visit with professional guide and private car by Angkor Wat. Afternoon dedicated to visit the most famous temple magnificent Angkor Wat. This architectural masterpiece was constructed in the 12th century and covers an area of about 210 hectares. Beautifull carved bas- reliefs on the outer walls and corridors, depicting mythological scenes of Ramayana and day to day life at the time of Angkor's building. late afternoon we will visit Bakheng Temple on the top of a hill with spectacular views over Angkor Wat and watch sunset on all Angkor site. Overnight in hotel in Siem Reap

Day 23 : Angkor Temple (B,L)

We start by visit with professional guide and private car, the "Great City" of Angkor ThomVisits include the famous Bayon Temple, Phimeanakas Temple within the Royal Palace enclosure , Baphuon Temple, the Terrace of the Elephants and the Terrace of the Leper King. Afternoon will include the visits of Thommanon, Takeo, one of Angkor's great mountains temple, Ta Prohm who become part of the jungle, Banteay Kdei with attractive carvings, Srah Srang, Prasat Kravan unique brick sculptures. We will visit Les Chantiers Ecole, a handicraft center located in the center of Siem Reap. Les Chantiers Ecole was founded in 1992 and its aim is to revive that ancient Khmer art. This organization gives young people the opportunity to learn the art of stone and wood carving, and silk weaving. Overnight in hotel in Siem Reap.

Day 24 : Tonle Sap & Silk Farm (B,L)

This morning we will enjoy a boat ride on the Tonle Sap lake. This is the largest permanent fresh-water lake in South East Asia and flows into Tonle Sap River, joining the Mekong in Phnom Penh. We will see a fishermen's "floating village" with floatting schools, floatting police station, etc. It is same as a big village floatting on the lake, and the "village" move from place to place following water levels and curant. we will visit Siem Reap central market and the Silk Farm in Puok, established by a French NGO to revive Cambodia's beautiful silk production. We can see every step of silk production and visit of Les Chantiers Ecole, a handicraft center located in the center of Siem Reap founded in 1992 to revive ancient art of Khmer. Overnight in hotel in Siem Reap.

Day 25 : Siem Reap – Departure  (B)

Morning free & easy intil time to transfer to airport for flight back home. End of our service.
